Resurgence Readers Group for North Cornwall

Hello.

 

My name is Simon Mitchell, aka 'simon the scribe' because I write a lot!

 

I have added this web page to my own site as an introduction to the North Cornwall Resurgence Readers Group (and to me), which I have agreed to organise and host in our (my partner Sarah's) cottage at Fentonadle near St. Breward in Cornwall.

 

Resurgence Readers Groups provide the perfect opportunity for like-minded people to get together, unwind, enjoy seasonal food and share positive ideas about how to encourage a more ecologically sound and equitable world. Also to discuss some of the issues in the latest inspirational issue of RESURGENCE magazine.

 

I have scheduled the meetings for 2011 about 2 weeks after each RESURGENCE issue, so that the content is still fresh in our minds. I think 6.30 - 7pm is probably a good start time, with 10.30 finish. Please bring some food and drink to share in an informal buffet type meal. We will supply teas and coffee.

The turn to Fentonadle is 8 miles from Bodmin and 4 miles from Camelford on the B 3266. It is a right turn coming from Bodmin. Look out for the second pub sign for 'The Old Inn' - coming from Bodmin (although they do take this down in the winter sometimes).   Turn off the main B 3266 and go down the hill for 500 metres. 'Fentonadle Cottage' is on the right opposite a cattle barn, you will see the unconverted barn shown on the photo below first. Park where you can but please be aware that farm machinery needs access to the barns opposite. For those with Sat.Nav the postcode is PL30 4PJ. Please don't rely on your satnav though as it can be a bit patchy around here. Look out for a Resurgence poster on the gate.
