The process of creativity involves using the unconscious mind - opening your intuition to solve problems very quickly. In the Western World we are using up resources as if we have 5 planets to exploit. We humans are incredibly wasteful, pumping the poisons we create into our own water and air, filling our food with pharmaceuticals. One half of the world is starving through lack of resources whilst the other half is killing itself with the excesses of so called 'civilisation'. Many of us feel caught in the middle.

One thing becoming abundantly clear in the 21st century is that if we want a sustainable planet - we are going to have to get by on less. Many responsible people are already doing this voluntarily - by 'downsizing' or 'downshifting' and this is where the power of creativity comes into its own.

One of the best uses of creativity involves coming up with new solutions to problems. Creative responses often 'change the game' completely by redefining the problem or seeing it in another light. If you want to do more - with less - change the game by developing your abilities for creative thought.

Here's an example: In Africa, a small village found water very deep in the ground and it was a hard pump or a long pull to get it up the well. So they installed a childrens' play roundabout near the water source and rigged it to a pump that fills a large header tank with the water. The village children have a play area and the villagers now have a pressure fed water supply. Creative thought in action - everybody wins.

Just one application of creativity - joining a 'free' energy supply with an energy need to improve resources. When our domestic energy sources are getting so expensive - it literally pays to conserve them. But don't buy into the fictions about 'limit' designed to screw even more money out of you - the universe IS MADE OF ENERGY - it just takes some creative action to harness this.

Creativity also helps us with change at a personal level. It helps with changes in relationships with yourself, your loved ones, your community, your society, your planet. And when change is hotting up around us - creativity comes into its own as a desirable and utterly useful human trait.

Creativity involves QUESTIONING WHAT IS and this is often an unattractive trait in most of our educational systems and our 'national slavery' to GDP and a materialistic way of relating to the world. That's right - things like potential FAILURE into VICTORY. 
PAIN and SADNESS into JOY and LAUGHTER.
POISON into NECTAR
You come up smelling of roses every time !
You always seem to land on your feet !
